If you are running DHCP on your LAN, the F3000 should pick up an IP
address after a few minutes.
If not, you'll need to assign one manually
using the menu system on the F3000 handset. (Please refer to your Documentation)
-
On
the F3000, press the menu option then select Wi-Fi Settings. Select OK then select Network Parameters followed by Network Information. This will display the IP address that the F3000 has been given. Please note this down for the next step.
-
Open a browser window (Must be Internet Explorer) and type in this address:
http://[ip address from step 3]

- From the User menu select the SIP and RTP Config navigation.

- Enter your name, your SIP User Name, SIP Authentication String and SIP Password, both of which are your sip number extension ( 812345 ), and your password, which is specified in your confirmation email.
Set the SIP Register Server Domain Name to fonosip.com and set the port number to 5060 .
Leave the SIP Outbound Server Domain Name blank.
Click Submit to apply your changes
- From the User menu select STUN config

Configure Stun Server: stun.fonosip.com Port: 3478
- You may want to reconfigure the Audio Codecs that the phone uses if you have problems with bandwidth on your WiFi connection. Select Codec and DTMF from the user navigation. We suggest the following configuration initially.

If you are experiencing audio quality issues related to your bandwidth you can select this as your highest priority. We find this sometimes helps in offices where your WiFi connection is heavily in use.
- Once you have finished configuring any of the other User configurable options you need to reboot the phone by Clicking on the Reboot button in the navigation menu.
- Your UTStarcom F3000 installation should now be ready to use! Dial 160 to try the echo test. You should hear everything you say echoed back to you.
